This contemporary Christian music appeals to all ages and reminds us that our personal relationship with God is the foundation for contributing to a faith-filled community. Unless our soul is well, we cannot give to others.
We live in a time of conflict and chaos that continually tests our resolve to follow Christ.
These songs help us to remember that above all, we can always count on God's mercy and compasion to get through life's journey.
Let "Cornerstone" bring an uplifting message to your church or group.
Peter has been involved in music ministry at his home parish of Holy Cross in Lewiston since his youth. Peter has also directed Christian groups and bands for over 25 years. He plays lead guitar for Cornerstone and keeps them organized.
"For me, Cornerstone ia an expression of Hope! In a world torn by intolerance and conflict, Cornerstone is a microcosm of a community that comes together as one in the name of Jesus regardless of affliations or history. Jesus came to save all of us and that is the good news we bring."

Music was always a presence in my life. Family gatherings revolved around sing-a-long’s where everyone took turns playing piano and singing, from the eldest to the youngest. The joke is we started really singing and learning songs when our TV no longer worked. Dad told us it couldn’t be fixed and started us on Christmas songs to surprise my Grandmother. My song was Silent Night (in French and English). My first official solo was with the Holy Family children’s Christmas choir where I sang O Holy Night. I’ve been singing non stop ever since. Music is my refuge, my solace and speaks for me when I can’t put my thoughts and feelings into words.
I’ve been a member & soloist of Holy Family Children’s choir, Academy of St. Joseph’s Glee Club/Choir, K of C variety shows, Kittery Minstral shows, Red Stocking Revue, Communicty Theater’s Camelot, Holy Cross Golden Echoes, Holy Cross special Liturgies group, Melodian Folk Group, Pineland Community Singers, Magic Pops Chorus, Earthen Vessels and Cornerstone. Weddings, Funerals and various musical venues also keep me busy within out LA community.
“When you sing – you pray twice”. Cornerstone has given me the opportunity to sing my faith and to share God’s love for us. Each song allows me to worship Him and bring His joy and hope for us, to those around me.

Shelley Harris - Vocals
Hi, My name is Shelley Harris, I'm currently one of two female
vocalist in Cornerstone. I've been singing with Cornerstone since their
beginnings. I am a Catholic, and belong to Immaculate Heart of Mary Parish
at Sacred Heart Church in Auburn, Me. I've been a parishioner there all my
life; was baptized there, received my wedding vows there, and have baptized
my two daughters there as well. I have been their Saturday mass cantor for
over 10 years. I began singing Christian music as a young teenager
at Sacred Heart Church with the folk group "The Peace Seekers". I joined a
semi-professional group while attending college at UMF in Farmington,
called "The Designed Expressions". We traveled extensively through out
Maine, and was accepted to represent the USA to perform in Russia for 3
weeks.
I have considered myself blessed to be a member of Cornerstone and
am inspired by each and every member. The Holy Spirit moves within me when
I sing God's praises. I pray you also may be moved by our music.
Aaron Rauth - Violin
Aaron began playing violin when he was seven years old. He has studied Classical music and also enjoys Celtic, American and French Canadian Fiddling, and is developing his Jazz sound.
In 2004 Aaron began playing at Mass every Sunday at his home parish of Saint Bartholomew's. In the Fall of that year Aaron met Peter and Phil when practicing music for a retreat. They invited him to a Cornerstone Concert and he has been playing with the band ever since. These days Aaron isn't able to play with Cornerstone often because he is at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield, CT where he is studying Graphic Design and Music Performance. Aaron is a member of the liturgical and Concert Choir and plays first violin in the University String Ensemble; SHU Strings.
Cornerstone gives Aaron the opportunity to praise God, and raise the spirits of others through music. That is what brings him back to his violin time and time again.
Aaron also manages this website, cornerstonesingers.org, for the group and is happy for a way to stay involved in with the Cornerstone family even if he is unable to play with them regularly
Josh has been playing liturgical music in throughout Lewiston in local parishes since his youth, starting at age 8. He started at St. Joseph’s Parish, and now plays for Holy Family Parish and Sacred Heart Parish in Auburn. He began as the keyboard player for Cornerstone in the summer of 2010, and is enjoying it very much.
